KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The staff at Great Plains SPCA recently rescued 48 dogs and one cat from a puppy mill in Oak Grove. Prosecutors charged the dogs' owner with animal abuse, and veterinarians are in the process of examining and treating each dog. Chief communication officer of Great Plains SPCA, Rachel Hodgson, brought two of the rescued dogs to FOX 4 to give an update on their condition and share how people can help.
