KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of deaths worldwide. That’s the reason an event this weekend is hoping to raise awareness about the importance of keeping your heart healthy and pumping strong.

Shirley Allenbrand, founder of The Larry and Shirley Fund, came by the FOX 4 studios to tell her remarkable story about heart health.

Also, Renee Kelly, head chef and owner of Renee Kelly’s Harvest, talked about a healthy heart harvest.
