Fun at the Kansas City Zoo throughout October

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Kansas City Zoo has several special events coming up throughout the month of October.

The events include:

  • Zoo Run -- Saturday, Oct. 5
  • Hoots & Howls -- Oct. 5 - 6
  • Sustainable Seafood Soiree -- Oct. 8
  • Boo at the Zoo -- Oct. 19 - 20
  • Brew at the Zoo and Wine Too -- Oct. 19

The Kansas City Zoo is located in Swope Park, just off Interstate 435 and U.S.
Highway 71 in Kansas City, Mo.

It's open from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. weekdays and from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. weekends.  Ticket prices are $11.50 for adults, $10.50 for seniors and $8:50 for children, age 11 and under.

The zoo's Randy Wistoff appeared on Tuesday's FOX 4 Morning Show and brought
along some hissing cockroaches.
