KANSAS CITY, Mo. — You may have drank coffee for years and may think you know a lot of about coffee.  But it is nothing compared to what one Kansas City barista knows about the drink that has been called “The nectar of the gods” by many.

You can call him the top brew of all baristas.  Pete Licata has made it his mission to brew the best coffee in the world.  And he’s surely on his way.  Last month, he beat out  dozens of other competitors for the title of the 2013 US Barista Champion.

Soon, he’ll head to Australia where he hopes to become the 2013 World Barista Champion.  FOX 4 News’ Kim Byrnes stopped by Parisi Cafe at Union Station to get, believe it or not, her first taste of real coffee.
