KANSAS CITY, Mo. — According to a new study by Lantern, women are 11 percent more stressed and 16 percent more anxious than their male counterparts.

The difference results from three key drivers:

  1.  The desire to be “perfect” and fear of “falling short”
  2. The strong will required to stand up for their ideas that can also lead to an unforgiving view of themselves
  3. The belief that if they are not constantly marking off tasks they will fall behind

Family psychologist Amy Shoffner of Northland Behavioral Health and Wellness stopped by the FOX 4 morning show to weigh in on women and stress. Shoffner even shared a few tips on how to reduce stress.
