To lose weight: Eat like a caveman on the ‘Paleo Diet’

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Eating well doesn’t have to be difficult.  Even a caveman can do it.

If you haven’t heard of the Paleo Diet, you may have been living in a cave.  It’s one of the most popular diets in today’s health-crazed world.

Touted as being as simple as going back to our roots and eating like those who lived before us during the Stone Age.

Dr. Loren Cordain, PhD, one of the pioneers of the Paelo movement and author of multiple New York Times Best-Selling books on the revolutionary diet, appeared on Monday’s FOX 4 Morning Show to talk about how you can eat like a caveman and be healthy.

Cordais’s four books are titled The Paleo Answer, The Paleo Diet for Athletes, The Paleo Diet, and The Paleo Diet Cookbook.

Dr. Cordain is in town for an event at St. Luke’s Hospital.  The Cardio Wellness Healthy Happy Hour will provide tips on how to reduce your risk of heart disease.

The event begins with refreshments at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 7 at the Unity Temple Plaza.  The presentations begin at 6:30 p.m.  The event is free, but  registration is required to ensure a seat.  Call (816) 932-5100 to register.
