Slow Cooker Turkey Broth from Meals by the Week
Ingredients:
Bones from one turkey (or half if it was a large turkey)
3 carrots, washed and cut in half
1 onion, quartered
3 stalks celery, washed and cut into large pieces
6 garlic cloves, peeled and halved
2 Tbsp sea salt
1 Tbsp dried oregano
2 tsp ground black pepper
2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
water to fill slow cooker
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in slow cooker. Set on low and cook for 12-16 hours, adding water if necessary. Strain carcass and vegetables from the broth. Use immediately, or freeze in 2- and 3-cup quantities to use later.
