Woman killed, man injured in double shooting on Kansas City’s eastside

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City police are investigating after a woman was killed and a man was injured Tuesday evening on the city’s eastside.

The shooting call was reported just before 7:15 p.m. near 30th and Cypress. At the scene officers located a man outside a home suffering from a gunshot wound. He is reported to have non-life threatening injuries.

A woman was found inside the home dead from a gunshot wound. Her name will be released after family has been notified by police.

Police believe a third person, and possible suspect, was involved. No suspect description has been released at this time.

Police are continuing to investigate what lead to the shooting.
