Police identify man killed in motorcycle crash on I-435

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Police investigated a deadly motorcycle crash that happened Friday evening on southbound Interstate 435 at 96th Street.

Police said a deer darted in front of a car and the driver slammed on his brakes. The motorcycle was not able to stop and rear-ended the car.

Anthony B. Dunster, 41, of Kansas City, Mo., was killed in the accident.  His 10-year-old son, who was also on the motorcycle, had non life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital where he was listed in stable condition on Saturday, according to police.

A person in the car had minor injuries, police said.

Southbound lanes of I-435 were closed at 108th Street during the accident investigation.
