
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- One man is dead following a shooting at a Kansas City park.
KCPD dispatch tells FOX4 the shooting occurred at Sheffield Park near 12th Street and Winchester Avenue, just before 7 p.m.
When police arrived, they found the man dead from gunshot wounds. Police said the victim is a man in his late teens or early 20s, but the man has not been identified yet.
Police on scene said a couple were playing basketball at the park when they heard gunfire and called police. They didn't see the shooter.
No arrests have been made, and no suspect information has been released. Police are asking anyone with information to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477.
