OAK GROVE, Mo. — A 17-year-old girl is dead and two others were hospitalized after a Friday night single vehicle crash in Oak Grove, Mo.
Police said the vehicle overturned Friday night around 11 p.m. on Jim Owings Road near Axline Road.
Sgt. John Payne with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department said law enforcement investigators believe the group may have been hill-hopping at the time of the crash.
Investigators confirmed the deceased teen, Peyton Farley of Lenexa, Kan., was the driver of the vehicle.
Police said the two injured occupants, a 19-year-old male and 17-year-old female, were listed in stable condition.
Police did not specify whether there were others in the vehicle who were not injured.
