KANSAS CITY, Mo —

The Movie Trip Awards recognize films that best used locations that would inspire people to travel to the destinations used in the movie. The winners were choses online by the general public.

2015 MOVIE TRIP AWARD WINNERS

MOVIE OF THE YEAR
The Man from U.N.C.L.E. (Warner Bros.)

BEST CONTEMPORARY MOVIE
Furious 7 (Universal)

BEST PERIOD MOVIE
The Man from U.N.C.L.E. (Warner Bros.)

BEST FANTASY/SCI-FI MOVIE
Star Wars: Force Awakens (Disney)

SPECIAL RECOGNITION
1. The Good Dinosaur (Disney/Pixar)
Pixar’s the ‘Good Dinosaur’ partnered with Wyoming Tourism. The valleys and mountains depicted in the film were inspired by the Wyoming landscape, such as the Teton Range. Wyoming Tourism used images from the film in commercials marketing the state to potential visitors.
