KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A 26-year-old Kansas City man was charged on Thursday in connection to a Brookside burglary that occurred more than a week ago.
Antonio Anderson, of Kansas City, is charged in Jackson County with first-degree robbery and armed criminal action.
According to court documents, on Sunday, April 17, six people were barbecuing at home when Anderson and two others approached them.
Prosecutors say Anderson robbed the victims of cell phones, wallets and jewelry at gunpoint before fleeing the scene. One person suffered minor injuries when pistol whipped but refused medical treatment.
Anderson was pulled over three days later when the car he was driving was recognized by police as being involved in a Brookside burglary that took place the same day as the barbecue.
Bond for Anderson has been set at $75,000 cash only.
