UPDATE: On Friday night, the Kansas City Police Department said that Christopher Stiggers was found and is safe!

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Family and friends of a missing Kansas City man are desperate for clues in his disappearance.  Christopher Stiggers, 26, has not been seen or heard from since Monday, July 3.

Friday, volunteers with the AdHoc Group Against Crime organized a search of the neighborhood where he was last seen, near the Green Leaf Apartments on the city’s east side.

“This is not my nephew,” said Darlene Butler, Chris’ aunt.

Butler says her family is close.  Her nephew still lives with his mom, and has never been missing, until now.

“He has two phones on him and both phones are not on.  And if he has two phones, he’d be in contact with somebody on one of those.  And he also has a Facebook page, and he has not been on it,” said Butler.

Stiggers and his cousin went to visit friends at the Green Leaf Apartments at 12th & Hardesty Sunday night.  Chris asked to borrow his cousin’s phone, went outside, and said he’d be right back.  But he’s not been seen or heard from since.

“Somebody would’ve heard from him by now, because he’s a close knit family member.  He’s always getting in contact with somebody,” said Butler.

The family is so concerned, a missing persons report is now on file with Kansas City police.  Those who know and love Chris, are growing more fearful with every hour, every day.

“The hardest thing is thinking if something bad happened to him, and he can’t call.  We just want to know, where is he at?  That’s all the family wants to know,” said Butler.
