KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Kansas City man was arrested on Monday and has since been charged with sexually assaulting a young child.

28-year-old Dustin Hudson been charged with first-degree statutory rape or in the alternative child molestation.

Hudson is accused of having sex with a little girl between January 2013 and May 2014.

According to court documents, on May 7, 2014 the child`s biological father says he and his daughter were traveling to St.Louis when the girl said her mother`s ex-roommate, Hudson, sexually abused the child when she got in trouble.

While playing with dolls, the girl showed investigators what Hudson allegedly did to her at her mother`s house.

The probable cause statement further reveals that medical records also showed the child tested positive for a sexually transmitted disease.

Hudson is currently behind bars at the Jackson County Jail on a $150,000 cash only bond. He is due in court next month.
