EAST CLEVELAND, Ohio — There may be an additional one to two more bodies to find in the East Cleveland area where three women have already been found dead, according to Chief Ralph Spotts.
Michael Madison, 35, has been arrested in connection with the three bodies found so far. Police arrested him Friday after a woman’s body was found in East Cleveland; two more female bodies were found Saturday.
Sunday afternoon, groups of nearly 30 people combed grassy areas and railroad tracks near where the first bodies were found. Spotts said police believe there could be one to two more bodies based on new “information received.”
Spotts also said police believe they have, in custody, the person responsible for the deaths.
Police believe the women were likely killed in the last six to 10 days.
Ages and identities have not been released.
Officials said it is too early to determine how the women died. On Sunday, the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office said because of the state of decomposition, identification and cause of death could take several days.
