GRANDVIEW, Mo. — Grandview police are investigating a fatal motorcycle accident that occurred early Tuesday morning.

Police said that around 6:45 a.m. officers were dispatched to the intersection of Grandview Road and Blue Ridge Extension on reports of an accident.

According to police, a motorcycle and a 2008 Nissan Sentra collided at the intersection.

The driver of the motorcycle was transported to the hospital to be treated for injuries but was later pronounced dead. Police described the driver of the motorcycle as a 33-year-old but did not release their identity.

Police said the driver of the Nissan Sentra was not injured.
