ANDREW COUNTY, Mo. — The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal utility-task vehicle accident on Monday.

The victim is reportedly an 8-year-old girl, identified by the Missouri Highway Patrol as Alexis Walker for Leavenworth, Kansas. The crash  happened around noon Monday in Andrew County, along MO 136-Highway about 2 and a half miles north of MO 48-Highway. A 9-year-old girl was also seriously injured.

An online crash report says the 9-year-old driver lost control and overcorrected, ejecting Alexis Walker, the UTV crashed on its side.

The victim killed was declared dead at the scene, the victim hurt was taken by ambulance to a hospital in St. Joseph.
