CORAOPOLIS, Pa. – A 91-year-old woman has proved it’s never too late to go back and fulfil one of your lifelong dreams.

Years ago when Edna Lamping was a teenager, she never got to attend her high school’s prom because of her strict family upbringing. She wasn’t allowed to go, which was something she has always regretted.

So as a surprise to her, her granddaughter and the staff at Montour High School arranged for Edna and her husband of 67 years, Joe Lamping, to celebrate prom along with the rest of the school’s students.

On the night of her first prom 91-year-old Edna got her nails done, put a crown on her head, then shared the night’s first dance to a Frank Sinatra song with her husband.

The pair attended the school dance as special VIP guests according to WTAE in Pittsburgh. Junior and senior students cheered the couple on as they danced and shared a kiss.
