KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The 9th annual 24-hour Turkey Tuesday food drive wrapped up Wednesday.

The drive collected more than 600 turkeys for local families who can't afford  to buy one.

The Know Joey? Foundation spent their time Tuesday and Wednesday collecting the turkeys.

A line started outside of the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum Wednesday at 9 a.m. More than 200 people showed up for a bag of food.

Leftover turkeys will go to organizations such as the Salvation Army, Operation Breakthrough and local churches.
