NORTH KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Zombies, ghosts and psychopaths are descending on North Kansas City at a new horror-themed panic room experience.
The owners of Tapcade and Screenland Theaters are behind the idea, which is called "Shock Treatment.”

Teams work together in creepy areas, solving puzzles and completing objectives to escape.

The experience includes a variety of horror elements from zombie attacks to dark tunnels, something the creators say is a new spin on the typical haunted house.

“It`s just a great bonding experience, something totally different. People love doing the escape rooms, but for us, there`s too much critical thinking, too much math, and it kind of feels like homework at a point. You know, we wanted to make it more hands-on, more fun, more modern. So we think this is the next leap forward,” said co-owner Adam Roberts.

"Shock Treatment" costs $35 person and you book online. Click here for more information.
