KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A death investigation is underway near an abandoned Kansas City car wash.

Kansas City police responded to the area of 83rd Street and Hickman Mills Drive around 11:30 a.m.

Officers found the body of one person. An investigation into the person’s cause of death is underway.

Police have not released any other details on the case.
