Thursday Morning: Serious Accidents During Commute

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Missouri Highway Patrol shut down two lanes of I-70 Eastbound after a serious accident near the Benton Curve Thursday morning.

Police say it happened at about 7:10 a.m. and involved a car and a semi.

Commuters experienced a significant slow-down as two-lanes were closed for about two hours.

Serious injuries were reported.

Another accident at Truman and Paseo killed one person. This one happened at about 8:10 a.m. and involved two cars.

Police closed off Truman Rd. and it remained closed at 9:40 a.m.
