KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police are questioning a suspect who was caught destroying property at a Midtown business.

Authorities say that the man, who has not been identified, was seen on surveillance video smashing a car window in the parking lot of the A&A Royal Auto Trim shop at 39th Street and Southwest Trafficway. In the video, the suspect is seen walking up to the unoccupied car and smashing the rear passenger-side window with a rock.

The shop’s owner, Marcie Paegelow, says that the man in the video seemed extremely angry.

“Just very agitated. Very fast-walking, very agitated. Almost like a cartoon, he was just so bouncy,” said Paegelow, who says that police told him that they have a suspect in custody.

Police say that the same suspect may have been responsible for breaking out the windows of other cars in the area.
