BRECKENRIDGE HILLS, Mo. – Police are trying to find the parents or guardians of a baby found alone in an apartment building Friday morning at about 5 a.m.  in Breckenridge Hills, Mo., which is about 16 miles northwest of St. Louis.

The baby boy is between four and six months old. He was found in a hallway inside a building at the Hickory Chase Apartments by a tenant leaving the apartment building. The tenant spotted the baby in a car seat in the hallway with a bottle.

Police interviewed some residents in the building who said they had never seen the baby. Police believe he was left there sometime between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.

He is now being cared for by the Missouri Department of Family Services.
