Bass Pro Shops to open more stores in 2014

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Bass Pro Shops company is planning a big expansion next year.

The Kansas City Business Journal reported John Morris, the company's owner, plans to open between nine and 11 new stores next year.  Bass Pro hasn't announced where those locations will be built.

The company has already opened three stores in Florida and New York and is in the middle of opening three more stores in Arkansas, Colorado and another location in Florida.

At the end of 2013, Bass Pro Shops will have 64 locations around the country.  It's largest store is located in Springfield, Mo.

Morris is Missouri's wealthiest person who has a net value of $3.8 billion.
