Belton soldier killed in Afghanistan

BELTON, Mo. -- A local family is in mourning this weekend after one of their family members died while fighting in Afghanistan.

Sergeant First Class Trenton Rhea, 33, died Wednesday.  He was a member of the 603rd Military Police Company from Belton.

Sgt. Rhea was on his third deployment.  He was training the Afghan Police Force on his last trip.

He leaves behind a wife and three daughters.

Funeral services for Rhea will be held in Sedalia.  He will be buried in Lamonte.
