KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Techweek continued in Kansas City on Thursday with a visit from a local who's scored big with one of his apps.

Jonathan Badeen is a Kansas City native and the co-founder of Tinder.

The dating app allows you to swipe through potential dates in your area.

Though it's primarily a dating service, Badeen says he's heard of people getting jobs or even getting travel recommendations through it.

Badeen also says he's heard about people concerned about staying safe on his app, but he says the best thing to do is trust your instincts when deciding to meet up with “matches.”
