BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. — A Blue Springs woman is now facing charges Friday in the deadly shooting of a 27-year-old man.

Tiffany Phommarath, 29, has been charged with second-degree murder and armed criminal action in the death of Jordan Schiager.

Court documents say the 29-year-old woman went to the police station early Friday morning and told officers she shot her friend, whom she identified as Schiager. Police found the 27-year-old man dead at Burr Oak Apartments near N.W. Duncan Road and N.W. R.D. Mize Road.

According to court records, Phommarath said she and Schiager had been drinking and doing drugs the night before. She told police she had been tripping on acid and kept hearing over and over to shoot Schiager and that it was God’s way.

The Blue Springs woman said the shooting happened just after midnight and then she went to sleep. Officers said Phommarath was cooperative and remorseful when she turned herself in to police Friday morning, court documents say.

Prosecutors have requested a bond of $250,000.
