Body found at Kansas City recycling center

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police are investigating after someone reported finding a body at a recycling center, located at 4020 Winchester near Raytown Road in Kansas City, Mo.

The discovery came around 4:30 a.m. when an employee for MRT (Material Recovery and Transfer) was scooping up trash dropped off Tuesday morning when he saw the body in the debris.

Authorities have identified the body as that of a white male. Police are searching the warehouse for more evidence. Police said it is a strong possibility the man may be homeless. It’s unclear at this time how he may have died.
