KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City, Mo., police are investigating a body found Thursday afternoon.

A body was found by a trucker along side of 210 Highway and Searcy Creek Parkway, police said. Authorities believe the person could have been hit by a car.

Police were originally called to the area on Tuesday evening when someone called to report an accident. When officers arrived, there was no sign of a crash and the person who called 911 wasn’t there.

Police said the body was in deep grass and weeds and not visible from the roads.

FOX 4 confirmed the body is not one of two people who have been reported missing.

Anyone with information is urged to call the TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
