KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Police are investigating two separate homicides in KCMO Wednesday morning.

A report of a homicide came in just after 8 a.m. at a home in Brookside near 66th Terrace and Brookside Road. Upon arrival, police found a white male victim in his late 30s in the front yard with no signs of life.

He was pronounced dead a short time later.

A witness told investigators she heard a gunshot and found the victim in the front yard.

A large police presence could be seen outside the home Wednesday morning. The area is near the popular Trolley Track Trail.
