Issue resolved after 911 service not working on some cell phones in Cass County

Update: 6:56 p.m.: At this time the Mid America Regional Council has advised that all AT&T services have been restored

The following is a news release from the Cass County Sheriff’s Office about 911 service on Tuesday, March 10.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office is notifying the public that at this time AT&T cellular customers in Cass County are unable to dial 911 from their cell phones. The problem is being checked at this time however there is no estimated time for the fix to occur. Anyone who has an emergency is asked to call the Cass County Sheriff’s Office non-emergency line at 816 380 5200 or your local law enforcement non-emergency number.
It is unknown how wide spread the affected area is however Cass County residents should call the non-emergency sheriff’s office number. We will update the public when the problem has been fixed.
