KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police say a man suffered life-threatening injuries on Tuesday afternoon in a shooting, and later in the evening he was pronounced dead. Kansas City police found the man identified as Walter Gregory near 39th Street and Troost at about 2 p.m.
Gregory was 40 years old, and a Kansas City, Mo., resident. His death is being investigated as a homicide.
Witnesses told investigators they saw a vehicle quickly speeding away from the scene after the shooting, but the type and color of car haven’t been revealed.
