KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Power crews are working diligently to make repairs after a car crashed into a power pole early Friday morning and left hundreds without power.
According to officers, the driver was headed north on Roanoke when they slammed into a power pole. Investigators tell FOX 4 that the driver had been drinking, which caused them to swerve and then crash into the pole.
There were two people in the car at the time of the crash, officers say.
Only minor injuries have been reported.
The accident did caused power to be out for several hundred customers in the area of 31st and Roanoke, including Quik Trip. Kansas City Power and Light was on the scene working to repair damages and restore power.
