KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- It is a big weekend for the Chiefs as the team prepares for a possible last home game on Sunday.

In a city turned royal blue last year, another team is now once again putting Kansas City back into the national spotlight.

The Verderzwan family lives in Canada but traveled nearly thirteen hours for a game they say they just could not miss.

"I've been a long suffering Chiefs fan for 25 years and kinda fell in love with Derek Thomas as a player. I have followed him along since then and here we are!" said Jonas Vanderzwan.

But throughout stores across the metro, window displays dressed in royal blue tell a different story about fan support.

In fact, at the Rally House on the Plaza, about sixty percent of their sales are still on Royals gear. Only about thirty percent reflect the Chiefs.
