KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Students at Pitcher Elementary, 9915 E 38th Terrace, received a welcome visit from Chiefs player Shaun Smith on Tuesday.
The defensive tackle appeared at a school assembly to tell students he had bought them computer software called “Click ‘n Kids.”
The program uses Looney Tunes characters to teach kindergarteners through 3rd graders a web-based phonics program to improve reading and speech.
Smith purchased enough software for every student in the school. The software can be used from their home computers as well.
