KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Chiefs said Sunday Jeremy Maclin did not sustain a tear in his ACL in Saturday’s game, but rather an ankle sprain, and his status is listed as day-to-day.
The diagnosis leaves open the possibility that Maclin could play in next Saturday’s game against New England. Maclin’s status was revealed via Twitter.

Maclin sustained the injury in Saturday’s victory over Houston. Maclin left the game after his knee was apparently injured in a tackle after a reception in the third quarter.
