CROWLEY, Texas — A North Texas woman, who apparently didn’t want a car-full of kids to ride in her car when their bathing suits were wet is facing charges of intoxication assault after four of the kids were injured.

They were riding on the trunk and hood of her car, police say, when the accident happened. There were no details immediately available on what led to the accident.

According to the Cowley Police Department,  Kisha Young, 39,  allowed a total of six kids between the ages of 8 and 14 to climb on the trunk and hood of her car because they were wet from swimming.

According to KDFW-TV, Young is the mother of several of the children while the mother of the other children was a passenger in the car.

Four of the children were hurt; three suffered minor injuries, but a 12-year-old was flown by air-ambulance to the hospital with a severe head injury.

Child Protective Services was also called. Additional charges are expected.
