CHILLICOTHE, Mo. — A Chillicothe teen recently got a big surprise when he was pulled over by police. Instead of a ticket he got a special card, according to a post on the Chillicothe Police Department’s Facebook page.

Police said Faith Penrod wanted to ask Alex Webb to be her date for prom and asked Officer Smith to play a role in her asking.

Officer Smith stopped the teens and instead of giving Alex a ticket, he presented him with a card.

The card said: ” It would be a C-R-I-M-E If you didn’t got to PROM With me!”

Alex was surprised but quickly told Faith yes.

“Thank you for letting the Chillicothe Police Department be a part of your special moment,” the department said in their post while also wishing the teens a fun, safe night at the Northwestern Prom.
