GLADSTONE, Mo. — A standoff in the Northland is now over following a domestic disturbance incident.
Gladstone police responded to an armed domestic disturbance call at a home in the area of 75th and North Oak Trafficway shortly after 1:30 p.m. Monday.
When officers arrived on scene, a woman exited the home and an armed male suspect remained inside.
The Clay County Sheriff’s tactical response team responded along with several other agencies.
Police said after several hours, officers went into the home and found the 42-year-old suspect dead from an apparent self-inflicted wound.
Detectives are continuing to investigate the incident.
