OLATHE, Kan. — A construction worker is battling serious injuries after falling head first through a hole at a construction site.

The accident happened Thursday morning at a house being built near 163rd and Lackman.

The developer said the hole where the worker fell is where they plan to build stairs leading to the basement.

He said his framer knew the hole was there and doesn’t know how he fell in.  But it’s a ten-foot drop and the framer landed on his head at the bottom.

The man was rushed to the hospital with a severe head injury.
