OLATHE, Kan. — New court documents reveal a Johnson County teen searched her phone for ways to induce a miscarriage at 38 weeks gestation.

Marissa Fields, 19, is facing a murder charge in the death of her baby girl.

Court documents also say Fields told police she didn’t know for sure if she was pregnant, because she had never taken a test, although she admitted to feeling some fetal movement prior to giving birth.

Police say fields gave birth to the baby last year.

Court documents state her father found the baby’s body inside a bag in December.
