KANSAS CITY, Mo. — First responders were at the scene of a crash and a homicide at Swope Parkway and Benton Boulevard Sunday night. On Monday police revealed the victim is 18-year-old Isabell Adison, a black female.
At about 9:30 p.m. officers went to the scene on the report of a crash, and learned that there had also been a shooting.
Police say the suspect pulled up beside Adison’s car and opened fire, then sped away westbound on Swope and hit a car in the intersection at Benton Boulevard.
Adison was declared dead at the scene; one person was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries from the crash. Police took one person from the suspect vehicle into custody.
