CLAY COUNTY, Mo. -- A special team of detectives with  the western Missouri Cyber Crime Task Force, Liberty Police and Clay County Sheriff's Deputies arrested a man at his home in the 500 block of White Oak Lane in Liberty on Wednesday.

Investigators spent hours seizing a variety of evidence from the suspect's house including several computers, several cell phones and other electronic devices.

Neighbors who watched in disbelief, tell FOX 4 the suspect has lived in the Liberty neighborhood for at least four years.

"We believe him to be a white male, in his late 40s and we believe him to be a father, " says Sheriff Bob Boydston. "We're glad that a substantial and significant amount of child porn has been removed from the residential area in Liberty."

The suspect remains in the Clay County jail. He's expected to be charged on Thursday.
