KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Rescue crews recovered a truck from a small pond at an apartment complex on Monday evening in the 6000 block of NW Prairie View Road. Upon investigation the discovery of a dead body was made inside the truck.

Authorities have not released the person’s identity or the manner in which the person died. The truck pulled from the pond does match the general description of a truck that the family of a man missing for nine days was last seen in.

FOX 4 spoke with Vince Reynolds’ family on Sunday, who said the 42-year-old was last seen April 12 leaving One Eyed Jack’s, a bar located at 5044 NE Parvin Road in Kansas City, Mo.

FOX 4 wants to emphasize that authorities have not identified Reynolds as the deceased victim or identified the truck as the same the family described, but we will continue to follow this story and release the latest details as they are confirmed.
