A Las Vegas police officer is being praised after a good deed, thanks to cell phone pictures and social media.

The Facebook post shows a Las Vegas police officer changing the woman’s tire.

But the story starts before then, when Dorothy Ortiz was driving to work, singing her heart out to Mariah Carey.

The officer started following her on Interstate-15 during rush hour.

“I just figured, he’s going to give me a ticket for something,” said Ortiz.

He told her to lower her window.

“And that’s when he told me I had a flat tire,” she said. “I just figured the officer was going to keep driving.”

Dorothy Ortiz took out her cell phone and snapped a photo of his help.

“That’s when I realized, Wow. There really are good people out there.”

The photo has thousand of likes and shares on Facebook.

The officer didn’t want the attention, didn’t want to talk to news stations. He says he was simply doing his job but Dorothy think it went above and beyond.

“Thank you very much,” she said. “I really appreciate it. Everyone told me I could’ve gotten into a car accident.”

Thank you, officer.
Thank you, officer.
