KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Local author, Molly Shapiro just finished a fictional book, “Point, Click, Love. ” It’s about online dating and the world’s move to unconventional love.

On Friday, she shared some real-life tips that come in handy when embarking on online dating. Shapiro says people shouldn’t be afraid to meet someone online. It’s not inherently scary and there’s no need to feel embarrassed about it.

Shapiro also encourages singles to trust their gut. If something doesn’t feel right or the person does something that bothers you, cut them off. That said, you also can’t be too judgmental. If you focus too much on little things, you’ll never find anyone. Watch her interview on FOX 4’s morning show for more information or visit
