Shawn Edwards says, “it’s official, Pixar isn’t perfect. Yes, “Cars 2” isn’t one of their best, but let’s not get it twisted. It’s still a very good animated feature. Sure, it gets a bit off track and is over populated with characters and ideas. But in terms of structure and storytelling “Cars 2” works and is lighthearted fun.
Russ Simmons says, “As always, the Pixar visuals and the attention to detail are impeccable. But “Cars 2” is overlong and the plot is a little clunky, never shifting into high gear. Even so, there’s a lot of fun to be had in this pun-filled, g-rated extravaganza.
It’s lower echelon Pixar, but “Cars 2″ still leaves most other computer-generated movies in the dust. The extras are a bit average, which is odd for a Disney release. ”

“Crazy, Stupid, Love”
Shawn Edwards says, “‘Crazy, Stupid, Love’ is a moderately funny romantic comedy. Ryan Gosling has a bit of charm and Steve Carrell is somewhat funny. Just not enough in the love or romantic department for this movie to qualify as a satisfying rom-com.
Russ Simmons says, “While the script serves up some eye-rolling coincidences and cliched moments, the sharp dialogue and likable cast give the movie a big boost. Best of all is Ryan Gosling who shows that he’s got strong comedy chops to go along with his proven dramatic abilities. It’s a little coarse and familiar, but it’s got a lot of heart.
Extras will include additional scenes, plus a digital copy on the Blu-Ray/DVD combo release.

Water for Elephants
Shawn Edwards says, “For a movie that looks this lavish and features big name stars shouldn’t be such a dud. But “Water for Elephants” comes up empty in just about every department. It’s horribly miscast, poorly acted and terribly directed.”
Russ Simmons says, “While the movie is beautifully produced, Reese Witherspoon lacks warmth and she and Robert Pattinson demonstrate very little on-screen chemistry. Still, it’s a reasonably entertaining melodrama that provides a couple of hours of popcorn escapism.
The extras are basic except for the secrets of the big top featurette.
