SHREVEPORT, La. — The spellbinding drama “Salem” is back, as the show kicks off its second season on WGN America on Sunday, April 5th.

Salem’s backdrop is 17th century Massachusetts, a dark and mystical period in American history. In this show, witches are very real and they’re running the infamous witch trials. But they’re not always who or what they seem.

Salem stars Janet Montgomery (“Made in Jersey,” “Human Target”), Shane West (“Nikita,” “ER”) and Lucy Lawless (“Xena: Warrior Princess,” “Spartacus”).

“What I love about this show is everybody really cares about this show and wants it to be the best it can be,” said Montgomery in an interview with FOX 4’s Kerri Stowell, on location on the Salem set in Shreveport, Louisiana.

When Kerri asked cast members about the plot lines in Season 2, they said they were impressed with what their characters are doing this season.

“I’m so shocked by the situations that I’m finding myself in,” said Lucy Lawless. “I wish I could tell you, but it’s too demented to go into.”

FOX 4’s Kerri Stowell visited the set in Shreveport, Louisiana and has a sneak peek at what’s in store for Season 2.
